Who is Goldilocks, really? And what about those bears? The famous fairy tale remains open to many interpretations. Alain Borek invites us to re-enact the story together, in an interactive show that evolves according to the audience’s choices.
Who is Goldilocks, really? And what about those bears? The famous fairy tale remains open to many interpretations. Alain Borek invites us to re-enact the story together, in an interactive show that evolves according to the audience’s choices.
The tale is indeed surprising: a young girl with blond hair, lost in the forest, unexpectedly enters an isolated house, eats what she finds, breaks a chair in the process and finally settles in a bed - the owners, who are bears, come home, find her asleep, and the girl ends up leaving, driven away and/or in fear. Whatever the version of the tale, the moral of the story is uncertain to say the least... What is this strange hospitality? Is the girl afraid of those who are so different from her? Or is she lost without a home, with the bears refusing to take in the young migrant girl?
Alain Borek, Marion Chabloz and Baptiste Gilliéron, who are experienced in the techniques of theatrical improvisation, make this a story of choice. In a device inspired by video games, they invite you to determine who are the protagonists of this astonishing story and decide on their respective reactions, with the performers adapting the scenes according to your choices. Each stage of the tale becomes the occasion for a deliberation on hospitality and what it implies, through the playful configuration of the scenes that will be played. Whether you are Goldilocks or Little Bear, will you find a less ambiguous ending?
Should you host Goldilocks?

Actor and director

A theatrical improvisation workshop for children from 7 to 13 years old around the Boucle d'or 2020 show, led by Laure Gallegos.
In echo with the show Boucle d'or 2021 directed by Alain Borek, the animator and theatrical mediator Laure Gallegos invites children to reinvent the famous tale through the creation of unusual playlets. This is an opportunity to tackle very topical themes such as hospitality or the relationship with others and to find, perhaps, a true end to the fable, as in the 2020 version.
Wednesday 9 June - for 7-13 year olds - from 2 to 4 pm, snacks included. At the Bibliothèque Jeunesse (av. d'Echallens 2A, 1004 Lausanne)
Free, upon registration bibliothequejeunesse [at] lausanne [dot] ch
